It has been a short week, but a great week. We read lots of Thanksgiving stories including, The Most Thankful Thing. In this story, a young girl tries to guess what her mother is most thankful for. Every year I read this story and about cry. I share with the class how my children and husband are also my most thankful thing. Then we all share the things we are thankful for. The students shared and wrote about their families, friends and even their teacher which melted my heart! I am so thankful for my job and that I get to do something that I love so much. I love coming to school and spending the day with your children... teaching them, loving on them, and watching them grow. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

We worked with our Community groups this morning in order to make tye dye turkeys. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait to display our Turkeys with our Turkey writing out on the bulliten board.
We have been learning about the day and night sky. When learning about the night sky we discussed and observed (via time lapse videos) that the Moon appears to change shape over the course of a month. We learned that The moon reflects the suns light and depending where the moon is relation to the Earth and Sun, it looks different. We learned the names of the phases and then used Oreos to illustrate the various phases of the Moon.
