I have not added to our class blog in a while and by no means is it because we haven't been doing cool stuff and learning.
However, this week some extra specials things happened. First of all our beloved classmate Luke Walsh was honored by the make a Wish Foundation and sent on a trip to Disney World this past week. We are so excited for him and we were able to funnel that excitement for a great cause.
This week we worked super hard on writing letters to Santa. Those students that finished their letters were then able to write a letter to Santa online through the Macy's "We believe" website. For every letter that is sent to Santa, they are donating $1 to the "Make a Wish" foundation that is helping our friend right now. The class was super excited to not only email Santa, but also to help other's like Luke that have gone through so much. If you want to share the link with others the link is below. Over the last several months we have been working hard to learn Screech's rules for reading and spelling tricky words. We finally introduced our last Screech Guide this week. Here is our bulletin of all the Screech guides. We will begin Spelling practice and test after winter break.
